Getting board and staff members together to collectively create the future results in powerful benefits beyond the strategic plan. This teamwork allows staff to understand the role of board members and board members, in turn, develop a deeper understanding of and appreciation for their staff.
We use many tools during the strategic planning process: SWOT analysis identifies strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats; eco mapping identifies internal and external needs; visioning surfaces long term goals, and we evaluate the business plan, products and services, and the most recent strategic plan to inform the strategic planning process.
After identifying key strategic priorities, we synthesize the information into a written strategic plan and create an action plan for the first year so that strategic priorities are present and accounted for each day.
