FAQs
Rose City Philanthropy is a nonprofit consulting firm specializing in leading nonprofits through capital campaigns, fundraising, healthcare and hospital philanthropy, Advancewell Analytics, and placemaking and public spaces.
We partner with nonprofit and government organizations to create campaigns that fund construction and renovation, programs and services, endowment, and general operating needs.
We emphasize clear roles, leadership responsibilities, and effective governance. Our signature teamwork training is grounded in the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team and our own experience serving as board members and volunteers in our community.
We'll analyze previous fundraising data or conduct a feasibility study if you’re considering a major campaign. We set fundraising goals that define the amount of revenue your organization needs to raise for a specific initiative or throughout the year and factors in the need for precious, unrestricted funds. We'll assess your team's capacity to meet those goals and your donor's capacity to fund ambitious initiatives, and create a plan that works for everyone.
Once a contract is signed, you'll be assigned a project team. For projects with a timeline of more than three months, we deliver a detailed project schedule within two weeks of contract signing. Our first step is discovery. We'll request documents for review, schedule a regular meeting time, and may schedule a site visit.
This depends on the service we provide. Fundraising assessment and planning typically take approximately three months. Campaign planning and counsel requires a minimum six month engagement period. The duration of your contract will be determined at contract signing. Regardless of how long your project takes, your price will always be a set price, not to exceed. We never bill by the hour so you can budget with confidence.
We have deep experience in braiding public funds with private philanthropy. As part of our campaign design, we develop awareness campaigns and tools to promote inclusion and sustainable community engagement. We provide prospect research, list building, feasibility studies, campaign planning and management for cities, special districts, park and recreation departments, and nonprofit organizations.
